Located on Route 68 approximately 3 miles northwest of Canton village, the Grass River boat ramp is a hard surface launch suitable for canoes and small motorboats. The site has parking for 14 vehicles and trailers, making it a convenient put-in point for accessing the Grass River's extensive paddling opportunities.
The Grass River offers approximately 85 miles of canoeable water out of its 115-mile total length, with adequate public access provided at multiple points along the river. The section near Canton flows as a coldwater stream, providing excellent habitat for brown trout and native brook trout, along with walleye and smallmouth bass. Paddlers can expect a mix of fishing and recreational paddling opportunities, making this a popular launch point for both day trips and longer canoe expeditions through the Grass River Wild Forest area.
