Maravillas Creek offers primitive boat ramp access to the Rio Grande in the Black Gap Wildlife Management Area of Brewster County. This is a remote, undeveloped launch point best suited for smaller boats, canoes, and kayaks—large boats and long trailers are not recommended due to limited infrastructure. A vault toilet is available on-site.
**Important:** A National Park Service campfire/boat permit is required before recreational use. Check with the NPS or local ranger stations for current permit requirements and conditions. This is a rugged, backcountry access point in a scenic but isolated area, so come prepared with supplies and local knowledge of water conditions. It serves as an alternative access point for paddlers exploring this section of the Rio Grande, particularly those visiting the Adams Ranch area.
