McIver State Park offers lower and upper boat ramps providing access to the scenic Clackamas River near Eagle Creek in Clackamas County. This location is an excellent starting point for kayakers and canoeists seeking a scenic float, with a popular 3-4 hour easy paddle downstream to Barton Park passing through towering Douglas firs. The park is located about 6 miles west of Estacada and sits within a picturesque corridor of the Clackamas Wild and Scenic River system.
The park offers multiple amenities including ADA-accessible restrooms, campground facilities, and hiking trails. Note that a day-use permit is required to enter the park ($5). The site also features the Clackamas Fish Hatchery with self-guided tours showcasing Chinook salmon and steelhead lifecycles. Fishing opportunities are available for steelhead and Chinook runs, and nearby Estacada Lake offers additional boat launch access if needed.
