Paradise Boat Launch

Paradise Campground offers a convenient boat ramp for accessing the McKenzie River in the heart of Willamette National Forest. Located near Belknap Springs along Highway 242, this is the largest campground on the McKenzie River, featuring 64 campsites with a mix of tent and RV options, many positioned directly along the river. The on-site boat ramp provides year-round water access, making it a solid launching point for kayakers, canoeists, and rafters looking to explore the river's whitewater sections.

The campground provides full amenities including flush and vault toilets, potable water, picnic tables, and fire rings at each site. Parking is gravel-surfaced, and the setting is surrounded by towering Douglas fir trees within the 1.6 million-acre Willamette National Forest. The McKenzie River here is popular for whitewater paddling as well as catch-and-release trout and steelhead fishing. Note that campsites are closely laid out, though vegetation provides some screening between sites.

The campground does not offer RV hookups and operates on a first-come, first-served basis (non-reservable). It's conveniently located about 9 miles east of McKenzie Bridge via Highway 242, making it accessible for day-use boat ramp access as well as overnight camping trips on the McKenzie River.

This small, rustic site is right on the side of the historic McKenzie Pass Highway. Surrounded by towering Douglas fir trees, this is a perfect spot to be on a warm day.Access to Linton Lake Trailhead in the Three Sisters Wilderness is immediately across the highway from the campground.
