About This Access Site
Located on the McKenzie River near Finn Rock between Hendricks Bridge and Springfield, this small boat ramp provides convenient access for both motorized and non-motorized watercraft. The concrete ramp is open and functional, with a paved parking area accommodating approximately 4 vehicles with trailers. The site is free to use and does not require reservations. A vault restroom is available on-site. Note that facilities are limited—the Watchable Wildlife site and interpretive areas that were previously present have not been restored following 2020 wildfire impacts, and improvements to unpaved areas remain incomplete.

This access point is popular for both fishing trips and recreational float trips along the McKenzie River. Paddlers often use it as a starting point for downriver floats to Armitage Park or as a take-out from upstream launches like Hendricks Bridge County Park. The site is one of multiple BLM-managed boat launch facilities in this section of the river. For contact information or additional details, call 541-683-6600. Several campgrounds (including Sunnyside and Cougar Crossing) are located within 10 miles, making this a convenient base for extended paddling trips.
