Description

Scout the falls river left. Usual line is middle-left down the tongue.

It is common for the reservoir to be mostly frozen when the Midway first opens up in the spring. On such occasions, you have two choices.

1) Try the hike over rotten ice on the reservoir.
2) Immediately below Sucker Falls, a 4-wheel drive road connects to the main road. Hike this to the left for about 3/4 mile.
