About This Access Site
The Bagby Recreation Area on Lake McClure provides boaters and paddlers with a convenient access point to explore this expansive reservoir. The site features a boat launch ramp, though the main ramp is currently closed due to low water levels. Visitors can still access the water via a dirt ramp extension.

This area of Lake McClure is known for its scenic shoreline, with numerous inlets and coves to discover by boat. The lake offers excellent fishing opportunities, with kokanee salmon and rainbow trout commonly caught. Boaters will find several marinas around the lake that provide rentals, launch ramps, and docking facilities.

While the Bagby boat ramp is closed, nearby options include the Barrett Cove Recreation Area and Barrett Cove Marina Cafe in the northwest corner of the lake, as well as the Horseshoe Bend Recreation Area in the northeast. Visitors should check current conditions before planning their trip, as water levels can fluctuate.
