Description
Great Falls is an extremely challenging Class VI rapid with massive hydraulics and near-unrunnable terrain that demands expert-level technical skills and precise execution. The rapid features a complex series of stacked ledges, powerful recirculating holes, and mandatory tight lines between undercut rocks that create high-consequence consequences for even minor navigational errors. Paddlers must have advanced swiftwater rescue experience and should anticipate potential multi-part portages or potential unrunnable sections depending on water levels.
