Description
Hell Portage is an extremely dangerous Class VI rapid with massive hydraulics and near-impossible navigation through a constricted canyon section. Paddlers must portage around this section due to extreme rock obstacles, unpredictable water flow, and high probability of fatal entrapment, with recommended shore scouting to assess the full hazard profile before attempting any river approach.
