Description
Lost Oar Rapid features a complex boulder field with multiple potential channels and a technical entry that requires precise boat positioning. The crux of the rapid is a series of offset drops and diagonal hydraulics that demand careful boat control, with the most challenging line threading between two large mid-river rocks that can create sticky recirculating holes at certain water levels. Paddlers should scout from river right and be prepared for quick directional changes and potential pin hazards in the boulder garden.
