Description
Salt Canyon Rapid features a technical entry with multiple midstream boulders that require precise maneuvering, creating potential pin and wrap hazards. The rapid builds from a Class II start into a more challenging II+ finale with increasing wave train complexity, demanding clean boat positioning and active paddle control through the right-center channel. Scouts should carefully evaluate rock placement and current flow, as water levels can significantly alter the rapid's character and line options.
