Description
A low-head dam creates a dangerous hydraulic that can trap and recirculate boats and paddlers, making this crossing an extreme hazard with no safe passage. Paddlers should absolutely portage around this structure and avoid any attempt to run or navigate through the dam, as the uniform water flow creates a deadly reverse roller that can prevent escape.
