About This Access Site
Trout Creek Campground offers a convenient boat launch onto the Lower Deschutes Wild and Scenic River near Warm Springs, Oregon. The facility features a 12-foot-wide concrete ramp suitable for kayaks, canoes, and rafts, with day-use parking available. The campground itself has 21 individual campsites and 3 group sites, making it ideal for multi-day river trips. Individual sites cost $8/night weekdays and $12/night weekends (rates apply May 15–September 15); the facility operates on a first-come, first-served basis with a 14-day stay limit.

From Madras, take US-97 north 3 miles, then follow NE Cora Drive, NE Clark Drive, and NE Buckley Lane for approximately 6.2 miles to the campground. Note that the access road becomes gravel near Trout Creek and includes a narrow tunnel that may restrict tall vehicles. Some campground facilities are ADA accessible. In addition to river access, the site serves as a trailhead for the scenic 7-mile Trout Creek Trail and provides access to the Trout Creek Climbing Area. For reservations or current conditions, contact the seasonal ranger station at 541-416-6700.
