About This Access Site
The Kamp Klamath boat ramp provides convenient access to the mighty Klamath River, one of the most significant waterways in the western United States. This major river spans over 250 miles and drains a vast 11,825 square mile watershed, making it a premier destination for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats.

The ramp itself is a paved, gravel surface that allows easy launching and retrieval of watercraft. Located midway through the Kamp Klamath campground, the ramp offers direct access to the Klamath River, which has an average flow of over 18,000 cubic feet per second and an average gradient of 15.9 feet per mile. Paddlers and boaters should be prepared for the river's dynamic character, with fast currents and varying water levels throughout the year.

In addition to the boat ramp, Kamp Klamath offers various other recreational amenities nearby, including access to the renowned Redwood National and State Parks. Visitors can enjoy hiking, birding, and other activities in this beautiful northern California setting along the Klamath River.
