The Klamath River at this location is a significant waterway with substantial flow—averaging over 18,000 cubic feet per second—and a moderate gradient of 15.9 feet per mile. Paddlers should be prepared for current and be aware that this major river (classified as Stream Order 9) requires appropriate skill and equipment.
